On November 9–10, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade hosted the ABB Robo Challenge, a hackathon organized in collaboration with one of the world’s leading robotics companies, ABB. This event brought together 50 participants, divided into 15 teams from the Universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Kragujevac. Participants had the chance to work in a simulated environment using ABB RobotStudio software, with the most successful solutions to be implemented on a real ABB industrial robot.
Our team, ETFRobotics, contributed as part of the RobotORRI project, preparing the challenges and supporting the realization of this first stage of the hackathon. The finalists will advance to the next stage, culminating in the winning team earning an incredible opportunity for a study visit to ABB’s headquarters.
The hackathon is part of the Brand New Engineers – “From Integrals to Engineers” project, proudly organized for the 15th consecutive year by the EESTEC LC Belgrade.
We’re thrilled to see such events inspire young minds and strengthen connections between academia and industry. Congratulations to all participants, and good luck to the finalists in the next round!
