🎙️ Humanoidna robotika više nije tema budućnosti – ona je već deo aktuelnih razgovora o industriji, obrazovanju i društvu. Rukovodilac grupe ETF Robotics prof. Kosta Jovanovic gostovao je u jutarnjem programu Euronews Serbia, u razgovoru posvećenom humanoidnoj robotici, povodom najave otvaranja fabrike humanoidnih robota u Srbiji 👉 https://lnkd.in/du82TFQD U emisiji je bilo reči o razvoju humanoidnih robota, njihovom ekonomskom potencijalu, ali i o pitanjima koja neizostavno prate ovakve tehnološke iskorake, od etičkih dilema do pravne regulative. Profesor Jovanović se posebno osvrnuo na akademski potencijal Srbije u oblasti robotike, kao i na važnost strateškog pristupa razvoju visokih tehnologija. U tom kontekstu istaknuto je da se dugoročan razvoj ne gradi samo kroz investicije i tehnološke kapacitete, već i kroz sistematsko jačanje znanja, istraživanja i ljudi koji će te tehnologije razvijati i primenjivati a uz podršku domaćim tehnološkim firmama po modelu vodećih sistema poput programa za razvoj robota u Kimi Upravo zato grupa ETF Robotics posvećuje posebnu pažnju edukaciji kadrova u oblastima robotike, veštačke inteligencije i proširene realnosti, kao i razvoju kompetencija koje su neophodne za savremeno istraživačko i inovaciono okruženje. On our way back from the inspiring HMI2MARKET consortium meeting in Munich, our team made a stop in Croatia to visit our project partners at CRTA – Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technology at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. It was a real pleasure to spend time with their team, tour the laboratories, meet the research staff, and learn more about the work they are doing. Beyond the facilities and research capacities, what made this visit especially valuable was the chance to sit together, exchange perspectives, and talk openly about the topics that bring our teams closer. These moments outside formal meetings often say the most. They help us better understand each other’s environments, ways of working, and long-term interests, and that is often where the most meaningful ideas for future collaboration begin. We are thankful to our colleagues at CRTA, especially Marko Švaco, Maja Trstenjak and Antonija Lelas for their warm welcome, generosity, and the inspiring conversations. It was a pleasure to continue building this partnership in person, and we look forward to the projects, ideas, and shared initiatives that may grow from it.

BrAIn final meeting

During this week in Stuttgart, our colleagues Kosta Jovanovic and Завиша Гордић Zavisa Gordic represented ETF Robotics at the final meeting of the BrAIn | Interreg Danube Region Programme, marking the closing phase of our project journey. Over the course of three days, the consortium reflected on the project’s progress, results, and future potential. ➡️ The first day was dedicated to the 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, where partners presented their activities and reviewed the outcomes achieved so far. ➡️ On the second day, we took part in the 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗔𝗜𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, followed by discussions on lessons learned and ideas that could be carried forward into future projects. The day ended in a more informal but equally valuable way, with networking and social activities at Frühlingsfest. ➡️ The third day brought 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, presentations from companies from the Danube Region and Baden-Württemberg, and panel discussions on the 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿. Pozivnica za predavanje „Angažman na doktorskim studijama na ETF-u“

Pozivamo zainteresovane studente master studija i završnih godina osnovnih studija da nam se pridruže na predavanju „Angažman na doktorskim studijama na ETF-u”, koje će biti održano u četvrtak, 23. aprila od 16 časova u Palata nauke – Zadužbina Miodraga Kostića. Posebno nam je drago što ispred naše laboratorije govori Filip Bečanović, koji će podeliti svoje iskustvo sa dvojnih doktorskih studija koje je realizovano na ETF-u i u LAAS-CNRS istraživačkoj laboratoriji u Francuskoj. Predavanje je odlična prilika da iz prve ruke čujete kako izgleda razvoj istraživačke karijere, uključivanje u akademski rad i povezivanje sa međunarodnim istraživačkim institucijama. Vidimo se u Palata nauke – Zadužbina Miodraga Kostića dobrodošli su svi studenti koji žele da saznaju više o mogućnostima koje im se otvaraju kroz doktorske studije i istraživački rad.

EESTEC LC conference

It was a pleasure to take part in a student conference Brand New Engineersorganized by EESTEC LC Belgrade, where our Prof. Kosta Jovanovic delivered a lecture for future engineers on topics at the intersection of robotics, automation, and emerging technologies. Events like this remind us why student-led initiatives matter. There is always more interest than available seats, plenty of questions, and a strong curiosity about how technologies taught in classrooms connect to real-world challenges. For us at ETF Robotics, responding to such invitations is never an obligation, it’s a genuine privilege. Beyond the lecture itself, our team also contributed to the conference by co-designing one of the two hackathons (supported by our HMI2MARKET Project), working together with students to shape challenges that encourage hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and critical thinking. We strongly believe that meaningful engineering education is built through dialogue: between students and professors, academia and industry, theory and practice. Student conferences like this create exactly that space—and we are always glad to be part of it. 👏 Kudos to EESTEC LC Belgrade for consistently creating opportunities where young engineers can learn, ask questions, and start shaping their professional paths early.

Over the past two months, we had the pleasure of hosting Seyyed Masoud Kargar, PhD student in Robotics and Intelligent Machines at the Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy, for his research stay at ETF Robotics. During this time, Sayyed worked with our team on the 𝗔𝗜-𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶-𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗮, focusing on the role of robotics and AI in advancing agricultural technologies. We truly enjoyed his presentation at the very beginning of his stay, which sparked valuable discussions and set the tone for his collaboration with our group — some photos from that session are included here. His visit has not only enriched our research but also strengthened the ties between our institutions. As his stay comes to a close in just a few days, we would like to thank him for the collaboration and wish him success in his future academic and professional endeavors.
