Creating human-centric robotics technologies, supporting their deployment, creating awareness of their possible impact and educating new generation of talents who will be able to support these processes in Serbia are main missions of ETF Robotics.

As the NOTRE | Interreg EUROPE project approaches its final phase, weโ€™ve had a moment to look back at how it broaden horizons and laid foundations that will continue to grow long after the project ends.

It started with our first ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—จ๐—ฝ this summer. More than 10 startups joined us to discuss what it means to build human-centric innovation and business in Serbia โ€” the obstacles, regulatory gaps, funding challenges, and opportunities worth fighting for.

That meeting marked the start of a growing ecosystem.

Last week in November, we took it one step further with our two-day program

Together with Palata nauke – Zaduลพbina Miodraga Kostiฤ‡a and Ovio care, we brought together students, founders, investors, regulators, civil-society representatives, and researchers to explore how future-shaping technologies can be developed responsibly โ€” and sustainably.

On Day 2, we hosted speakers whose perspectives shaped the discussion: Natasa Todorovic, Red Cross Serbia Nevena Sovic, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Serbia, Slaฤ‘ana Steลกeviฤ‡, NALED, Andrea Nikolic, FON, Alexander Martynov and Katarina Pavlovic

Their contributions made something very clear:

A special part of the program was the involvement of startups, some established by ETF students from our HMI2MARKET project.

Through HMI2MARKET, we have spent the past year co-defining academic challenges, building a training toolkit for students and faculty, and strengthening the entrepreneurial mindset inside universities, particularly in domains where human-machine technologies must be designed for people, not around them.

Looking forward hashtag#NOTRE is ending, but the work is not. Our mission remains the same:
๐Ÿ‘‰ to empower students and researchers,
๐Ÿ‘‰ to build bridges between academia and industry,
๐Ÿ‘‰ to support technology that improves life for older adults and other sensitive groups,
๐Ÿ‘‰ and to help robotics find its rightful place โ€” not as a replacement for human work, but as a tool that makes society safer, fairer, and more humane.

๐Ÿ’ฌ A very heartfelt thank you to all panelists, startups, partners, and participants who shaped these two days with us.
