We couldnโ€™t be prouder!

Our colleague Maja Trumic, a long-time member of ETF Robotics, has been awarded the prestigious ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ธล‚๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐˜„๐˜€๐—ธ๐—ฎ-๐—–๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ (๐— ๐—ฆ๐—–๐—”) grant for her project ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—ณ๐˜-๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜, which she will develop at TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering under the mentorship of Prof. Cosimo Della Santina.

The ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—ณ๐˜-๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ project envisions a new generation of soft robots capable of navigating confined spaces safely and performing delicate operations, from aircraft engines to disaster-struck infrastructure. By combining elasticity, precision control, and intelligent learning, these robots could make future interventions both safer and smarter.

At ETF Robotics, Maja has been one of the driving forces behind our soft robotics research, developing control algorithms for soft articulated and soft continuum robots. As she embarks on this exciting journey, she leaves behind her colleague Miloลก Raลกiฤ‡, who will continue developing soft robots – one of which proudly resides in our ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜€ at the Palata nauke – Zaduลพbina Miodraga Kostiฤ‡a.

Weโ€™ll miss her energy and creativity here at home, but we know that ๐˜๐˜„๐—ผ ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ณ๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฏ๐˜†, and we look forward to seeing her return with new insights, experiences, and an even clearer vision for the ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ณ๐˜ ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐˜ University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering.
