The Robotics Laboratory combines fundamental research in robotics with applied research in industry and medicine. Our main research directions include human-robot collaboration, soft robotics, and collaborative robots with an educational dimension. We aim to expand the application of robotics in industry, medicine, and household environments by studying human motion and interaction patterns as inspiration for safe and efficient robotic behavior.

Equipment & Platforms
“The lab provides several robotic platforms for research and education: Panda robot (Franka Emika), ABB IRB120, Denso VG6577, Fanuc SCARA SR-3ia, as well as platforms for variable-stiffness robotics – the 4-DoF QB robot (qbrobotics), a classical agonist–antagonist VSA system, and the TurtleBots mobile platform for ROS. For more details, visit our [Laboratory page].”

Research Projects
“Our key research projects focus on impedance estimation and control in robots (ForNextCobot), algorithms and tools for collaborative robots in human-centered environments (HUMAN-COMAN, CoH-ROM), and the development and control of anthropomorphic, compliant service robots (ECCEROBOT, Anth.Serv.Robot). As a recognized regional robotics hub, our application-oriented projects support companies in adopting robotic innovations (DIH2, DIH-HERO, ReconCell experiment). More information is available on our [Projects page].”

Partners & Collaborations
“We are not alone in our mission to make the world a better place through robotics. Our key collaborators include other ETF laboratories, most notably the Biomedical Instrumentation and Technology Lab (BMIT), as well as national research groups such as the Robotics Laboratory at the Mihajlo Pupin Institute, the Laboratory for Industrial Automation and Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. International partners include CoBoTaT at JSI (Slovenia), LISSI at UPEC (France), and leading institutions across Europe such as the University of Twente, VTT Finland, Imperial College London, DLR Germany, Fraunhofer IPA, IIT, SSSA, POLIMI, ETH Zurich, RWTH Aachen, Tecnalia, EURECAT, CEA, DTI, IMEC, and many more.”

Industry Support
“Driving innovation is never easy, which is why we greatly value the support of local industry partners, including ABB Serbia, Dillon, Fanuc Serbia, Tipteh, Servoteh, Siemens, Elsys Eastern Europe, Avisto Eastern Europe, NOFFZ-Forsteh Technologies, and others.
