Last week, our student Nikola Ruลพiฤ‡ joined the ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐‘๐จ๐›-25 ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ โ€“ ๐Ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‘๐จ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ ๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฌ, ๐†๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐œ๐ž (๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ 14โ€“18).

The program focused on the foundations and applications of๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐ซ๐จ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌโ€” from control and learning to state estimation and simulation. Beyond lectures, participants rolled up their sleeves for ๐ก๐š๐ง๐๐ฌ-๐จ๐ง ๐œ๐จ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ, gaining experience that bridges theory and real-world robotics.

OptRob-25 was led by Prof. Konstantinos Chatzilygeroudis (University of Patras), with support from Shivesh Kumar (Chalmers University), Brian Plancher (Dartmouth College), Enrico Mingo Hoffman (INRIA), and Zac Manchester (CMU), and featured keynotes from inspiring voices in the field: Hae Won Park (KAIST), Kostas Alexis (NTNU), and Serena Ivaldi (INRIA).

Participation in events like this, made possible through our work on the #๐‡๐€๐‘๐๐Ž๐“ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ, is more than a technical exchange โ€” itโ€™s a chance for our students to learn how collaboration across borders and disciplines fuels innovation.
